Read over our volunteer requirements and rules of conduct and fill out the form if you’re interested in volunteering at the library.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Volunteers must be between the ages of 12—18 and in 7th—12th grade.
- Volunteers must adhere to the Rules of Conduct while volunteering.
- Volunteers must have their parent/guardian's permission to participate.
- Court Appointed hours will be considered by Administration.
Rules of Conduct
Volunteers must follow the Rules of Conduct while volunteering:
- Be polite and respectful to staff and patrons.
- Notify the branch as soon as possible if you are unable to be at the library for a scheduled shift.
- Request volunteer hours at least one day in advance.
- Wear the volunteer lanyard at all times when working a volunteer shift.
- Wear work-appropriate clothing while volunteering, including closed-toe shoes.
- Restricted clothing includes, but not limited to, t-shirts with inappropriate messages, short shorts, or torn clothing.
- Do not use electronic devices while working a program or while in any public area.
- Direct patrons to staff if more assistance is required.
- Tell your staff contact when you have completed a task.
