It's a new month, so that means we have new shows at the St. Charles Parish Library Planetarium and see what's playing in May!

Planetarium seating is currently limited and registration is required. Register through our event calendar. You can also register by calling or visiting any library location.

From the Earth to the Universe: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm | for adults, teens, and older children
From the Earth to the Universe takes you on a journey into our universe through the history and science of astronomy. You will observe the Earth from the International Space Station, travel to the Sun, explore the planets of our solar system and look beyond to the outer edges of our universe.

Planets of the Solar System: Saturdays at 10:00am and 11:30am | for all ages
This bouncy, animated show takes you and your children on a tour of all eight planets and our favorite dwarf planet, Pluto. Your kids will learn about the vast distances between the planets, see the surface of Mars, fly through the rings of Saturn and more!

STARS: Saturdays at 2:00pm and 3:30pm | for adults, teens, and older children
STARS runs as our Saturday Matinee this month. You and your family will learn about the life cycle of stars, from stellar formation to black holes. Your children will enjoy the brief, animated history of astronomy stretching back from Albert Einstein to the ancient Greeks and Romans.
