On October 2, 1908, Thurgood Marshall was born. He had a highly successful career as a lawyer, at one point representing the Brown family in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, and was a champion of the Civil Rights era.

Need to Feed Month

The St. Charles Parish Library will hold a Food for Fines event in October in conjunction with Need to Feed Month in St. Charles Parish. There are currently many families in St. Charles Parish who do not have enough food to feed their families—more than usual.
