Rault Center Fire Documentary
Join us at the East Regional Library in Destrehan on Wednesday, November 30 at 6pm to memorialize the 50th anniversary of The Rault Center Fire with a screening of The Rault Center Fire, the newest documentary from Royd Anderson (run time: 45 minutes). Anderson will be present for the screening and will be offering a question and answer session after the film.
About the film:
On November 29, 1972, a nation watched in horror as five women fell from a burning building in New Orleans.
This documentary examines the tragedy of the Rault Center Fire. Included are interviews with eyewitnesses, a fire lieutenant called to the scene, relatives of the victims, and a scientist whose family business impacted fire safety worldwide.
