September Planetarium Shows
Explore the universe at the St. Charles Parish Library Planetarium in September!
Please note that Saturday showtimes have changed.
Phantom of the Universe: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm | for adults, teens, and older children
Roughly 80% of all matter in our universe is completely invisible. In Phantom of the Universe, you and your family will learn about this dark matter and its discovery. You will travel inside the Large Hadron Collider, across space, and through time.
Earth, Moon & Sun: Saturdays at 10:00am | for all ages
In Earth, Moon & Sun, your children will join Coyote, a confused but witty character adapted from American Indian oral traditions. Coyote explores common misconceptions about the Earth, Moon and Sun system. He learns why the Sun rises in the east and sets in the west, why the Moon appears to change shape over time, and what really causes lunar and solar eclipses.
Waiting Far Away: Saturdays at 2:00pm | for adults, teens, and older children
Go on a cosmic, audiovisual journey with an explorer willing to go so far that he may never find his way home in Waiting Far Away.
