Storytime

After a successful summer of outdoor storytimes and an unplanned break caused by Hurricane Ida, indoor preschool storytimes are back at our library branches! Click here for a list of locations, days, and times.

Storytime introduces the love of books and reading to young children. Stories, music, rhymes, and finger plays are used to encourage children to discover and explore the world around them. Themes change weekly and play activities are to follow.

Reading books out loud to children helps develop their reading skills long before they are able to read, and we’re excited to share our favorite books and songs with you.

These free storytimes are designed for young children ages 0 to 5 years. 

The St. Charles Parish Public Schools Learn With Us Bus, a mobile family education resource, will also stop by the Paradis and St. Rose Branches during some of our storytimes. Click here for those dates.
