October Events for Adults

We are so glad to welcome you back to the library! Come in and take some time to relax, be creative, and socialize while making crafts or visit us to seek legal advice and information during our Lawyers in Libraries week.  

We will be back with more events in November, so keep an eye on our event calendar. 

Everyone ages 5 and older must wear a mask or face covering during indoor library events.

DIY Button Clock at St. Rose Branch
Monday, October 18 at 6:00 p.m. or Wednesday, October 20 at 11:00 a.m. 
Register for one session here.
Using embroidery hoops, burlap, buttons, and clock hands, join us to create your very own clock! Personalize this functional décor to match your home's aesthetic and relax with this DIY craft at the St. Rose Branch. 
 

Fun Photo Frame Craft at East Regional Library in Destrehan
Monday, October 25 at 6:00 p.m.
Register here. 
Show your creativity as we create photo frames using popsicle sticks, washi tape, ribbon, paint and more. All supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own photos to personalize your frame!

Ask-A-Lawyer at East Regional Library
Tuesday, October 26 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. 
Ask-a-Lawyer sessions allow patrons to ask questions about their individual legal issues during a 15-20-minute consultation with an attorney. Drop in to meet with Lucy Killen, family attorney of Loyd J. Bourgeois Attorney-at-Law. Click here for Lucy Killen's bio. 
 

What to do After a Motor Vehicle Collision Presentation at East Regional Library in Destrehan
Wednesday, October 27 at 5:00 p.m.  
Attorney Rachel Naquin of Gainsburgh, Benjamin, David, Meunier & Warshauer, LLC will provide a free presentation about the steps you can take following a motor vehicle collision to legally protect yourself in the case of an accident.
