Safe Dates, Not a #Number Workshops for Teens
The St. Charles Parish Library and Child Advocacy Services are partnering to present two workshops this summer to help teens make safe choices and maintain healthy relationships.
Angela Golden, Prevention Services Coordinator for Child Advocacy Services, will present the workshops.
(UPDATED July 10, 2018) Not a #Number, a three-night interactive child trafficking prevention workshop for ages 12-14, takes place Monday, July 30 through Wednesday, August 1 from 10 am. to noon at the East Regional Library. The workshop is designed to provide teens with information and skills to inspire them to make safe choices. Registration is required. Click to learn more and register.
Safe Dates is a one-night, highly engaging and interactive workshop for ages 12-17. After attending, teens will be better prepared to recognize the difference between caring, supportive relationships and controlling, manipulative, or abusive dating relationships.
There are three sessions of the Safe Dates workshop scheduled:
Paradis Branch, 307 Audubon St. - Wednesday, July 11 at 4 p.m.
St. Rose Branch, 90 East Club Dr. - Thursday, July 12 at 4 p.m.
West Regional Library, 105 Lakewood Dr. in Luling - Thursday, July 19 at 6 p.m.
