Summer Reading Program Starts Thursday

The St. Charles Parish Library's annual summer reading program starts this Thursday, May 24!

With reading programs for all ages--children (ages 0-11), teens (ages 12-17), and adults (ages 18 and up)--start at our summer website, www.myscpl.org/summer, and register for the program that's right for you. Don't forget about the great prizes you'll get for signing up after reading 360 minutes, not to mention the chance to win other prizes.

We can also help you get signed up at any library location.

Spending summer at the library is a great way to help students' reading skills stay sharp while school is out. Studies show that students who read during the summer have an easier time transitioning back to school in the fall.

While you're here, check out our hundreds of events, activities, and crafts for all ages happening this summer.

Children and teens have an abundance of opportunities at the library, from attending exciting shows by performers who travel around the country to creating unique crafts limited only by their imagination.

Adults--don't get left out of the summer fun! Summer is a time to try new books and attend presentations and workshops hosted by special guests and talented library staff.
